How to Send and Receive iMessage on an Android Phone

iMessages are very different from ordinary text messages that we can use on every cellphone, even though both are categorized in the Messaging application. While regular text messages use packages and rates based on your mobile operator or network, iMessages uses data to send messages rather than the usual text message packages that you buy from your wireless operator.

iMessages uses data that users pay for through their cellular data plan; and is also activated to send text messages, photos, videos, files, locations, and many other types of data using the messaging application and is quite fast than regular SMS or MMS.

iMessage is designed and fully owned by Apple Inc., and therefore its use is based on Apple products such as the iPhone and iPad. Android OS has been able to compete with Apple in almost anything, and every invention, except the Apple iMessage application. But recently, technicians and programmers have created the iMessage application for use on Android devices without many obstacles; that is, you can now send and receive iMessage from an Android device.

Following are the steps to use the iMessage application on your Android device.

1. Download SMS for the iMessage Application

SMS for iMessage is an Android application that routes text messages from Mac iMessage clients to Android phones. During and after setup, the application will guide you through the process of adding SMS to your iChat account to your iMessage client desktop. After this is done, you can send and receive SMS messages from the iMessage desktop application to your Android device.


Or you can download the Web Server application to use iMessages on your Android device, follow these steps.

2. Install a web server


This application will also allow you to send and receive iMessages on your Android device. Use the weServer link to download and install the MacOS application version. The file may come as a .zip file, in which case you need to unzip the file, then double-click to run the command file. If the downloaded file is from an insecure or unsafe channel, it might not open.

3. Give Permission

For a smooth server application, you need to provide Terminal Accessibility permission. This is because the application runs inside the terminal. To give this permission, open Settings, look for Security and Privacy, click the Privacy tab, then look for Accessibility and open, find the terminal and check the box.

4. Set up an iMessage Account

Next you need to set up your iMessage account with weServer. When opening a terminal, the application must request iMessage account details, make sure the e-mail you add as ID is the same as the one you use for iMessage, then set it with a secure password.

5. Install weMessage

After the steps above, download and install the weMessage application on your Android Smartphone from the Google Play Store. When opened, the application will request the IP address, password server, and iMessage email address, here, you can choose to use the public or private IP of your mac. You can find this IP by opening your System Preferences, double-clicking on Network, opening TCP / IP and double-clicking the advanced option, here you will find the private IP system.

6. Login, Synchronize and Start iMessaging with your Android Phone

After getting an IP address, log in with it and other details on your Android phone. And that is all for the arrangement. To synchronize your contacts, give permission to Terminal Mac, this will allow it to access and synchronize your contacts. You now have to tap on settings in WeMessage, then click the Sync contacts option.
